Scope, sources and editorial approach.
Defined scope
Judicial Exposition of Service Law concerns service-law decisions delivered by Hon’ble Justice Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia during 2017–2025. It is independently compiled and edited by Vibhor Kumar Sahu, Advocate.
Organisation of the material
Chapters and subject indexes organise the issues covered. Headnotes, case notes and the Table of Cases provide access to the decisions discussed; bookmarks and internal links support navigation within the digital edition.
Sources and citation
Headnotes and case notes should be read with the full judgment and the applicable statutory provisions. Before citing a proposition, confirm its context, citation and current legal position from the relevant sources.
Headnotes and case notes
Headnotes identify the issues addressed in a decision; case notes assist the study of its reasoning and outcome. Both form part of the editor’s research presentation and should be read alongside the judgment.
Corrections and editions
Published corrections identify the affected edition or digital version and the relevant page, case or section. The Corrections and Editions page records issued notices and file updates.
Editorial updates
Changes to the editorial approach will be described for the publications to which they apply. The stated scope and edition details should be consulted when using a volume.
